Professional Clarity

Focused support for work-related questions, decisions and transitions

Professional life can bring questions that are practical, personal and often difficult to separate.

You may be considering a career change, preparing for an important interview, trying to articulate your experience, or feeling uncertain about your professional direction.

You may be navigating a difficult workplace dynamic, questioning your confidence, or trying to understand what you want from the next stage of your working life.

I offer a confidential, neutral and collaborative space to focus on you. Together we will step back from immediate pressure, ground, and identify a clearer way forward, in alignment with your values.

A Bit About Me

Before and while training as a counsellor and psychotherapist, I spent more than a decade working in talent advisory and talent acquisition across agency and global organisations, including Workday, Logitech and LinkedIn.

I worked with professionals across different industries, cultures, teams and stages of their careers. My work involved understanding people’s experience, identifying strengths, preparing them for interviews and important conversations, and helping them communicate their value with greater clarity.

That experience also gave me a close understanding of the pressures that can accompany professional life: uncertainty, self-doubt, changing identities, workplace dynamics, the pressure to perform and the challenge of making important decisions while feeling overwhelmed or stuck.

Professional Clarity Sessions grew from my desire to bring these strands of my experience together. They combine my understanding of organisational life and professional development with a thoughtful, collaborative and person-centred approach.

What can we work on?

Career Clarity

Interview Preparation

Workplace Confidence & Communication

Professional Positioning

For career change, uncertainty or important professional decisions.

We can explore where you are now, some things may no longer fit. We can also explore what you want for the next stage of your professional life. This may involve clarifying your priorities, strengths, values or possible directions.

For articulating your experience and approaching interviews with greater clarity and confidence.

We can work together to identify the strongest examples from your experience, develop a clear professional narrative and prepare you to communicate your value in a way that feels both confident and authentic.

For navigating difficult conversations, boundaries and professional confidence.

Sessions can provide space to think through a workplace situation, understand what may be affecting your response and prepare for an important conversation with greater clarity and intention.

For clarifying your strengths, experience, professional narrative or direction.

This may include support with how you describe your work, position your experience, communicate your value or present yourself through your CV, LinkedIn profile or professional conversations.

How does it work?

Once you get in touch and we clarify whether it is the right fit, we'll arrange an online session for 60 or 90 minutes.

If you have a preference for in-person, this can be arranged.

A 60-minute session may suit a clearly defined question, interview preparation or a focused workplace issue.

90-minutes offers more space for broader career reflection, professional positioning or a significant transition.

Further sessions can be arranged where useful, but there is no expectation of an ongoing commitment.

You don't need to know exactly what kind of support you need before getting in touch. You're welcome to briefly outline what you're navigating and what you would like help with. From there, we can consider whether a Professional Clarity Session is the right fit.

Sometimes we find ourselves asking: What should I do next?

And a more useful question can be: What do I need to understand, clarify or communicate now?

What happens in a session?

At the beginning of the session, we will clarify what you would like to focus on and what would feel useful to leave with.

Depending on your needs, the session may involve:

  • Exploring the situation from different perspectives

  • Clarifying your strengths, priorities or direction

  • Identifying what may be getting in the way

  • Developing language for an interview, application or workplace conversation

  • Practising how you want to communicate your experience

  • Identifying practical and realistic next steps

The process is collaborative and focused. You do not need to arrive with everything fully formed. Part of the work may be finding the language for something you already sense but have not yet been able to articulate.

Professional clarity or psychotherapy?

Professional Clarity Sessions are distinct from counselling and psychotherapy.

They are focused on a defined professional question, challenge or outcome and usually involve a more practical and goal-oriented process that may include advice.

Psychotherapy offers space for broader or ongoing exploration of your emotional life, relationships, experiences and patterns - which is collaborative, but not advisory.

Sometimes a work-related concern may connect with deeper questions around identity, confidence, belonging or self-worth. We can acknowledge these themes within a Professional Clarity Session, while remaining focused on the professional issue you have brought.

Where ongoing therapeutic support may be more appropriate, we can discuss that openly.
